Our gloves are handcrafted by experienced artisans in 10–15 production steps, executing their craft with care and precision. The products convince not only in quality but also tell a story of a trusted partnership since 2008.

We believe that sustainable development must be thought of globally. Fair production in countries like Pakistan can create valuable jobs and income when it is transparent, fair, respectful, and collaborative. Through personal, long-term cooperation with our partner factory in Pakistan, we ensure that our products are manufactured under fair conditions and create dignified workplaces.

We reduce our ecological footprint through bulk orders and limit transport deliveries to a maximum of three per year. 

Why We Use Genuine Leather
Our gloves are made from genuine leather. Most of the leather we use comes from skins that are by-products of the meat industry or from animals sacrificed during religious festivals. Rather than discarding this valuable resource, it is further processed through traditional tanning — an approach that avoids waste and makes meaningful use of materials.

We continuously evaluate alternative materials such as plant-based or recycled leather substitutes. The requirement is that they are produced in a resource-conscious manner and are comparable to genuine leather in durability, robustness, and feel. Only materials that meet these standards are considered true alternatives for us.

Production Steps of the Basisrausch Citrin Gloves
Depending on the model, the number and complexity of production steps vary. For example, if an inner glove is incorporated, additional sewing and assembly steps are required. The materials used also play a role: knitted cashmere or fleece linings require different processing techniques than simple fabric layers. Each glove therefore undergoes a production process tailored individually to its function, comfort, and quality.
