Reserve Packing

Every reserve should be regularly aired, inspected, and repacked to ensure it opens reliably and without delay in an emergency. Most manufacturers recommend repacking the reserve every six months to ensure it works perfectly and is fully ready when needed. Whether round, square, or steerable — in the Basisrausch atelier, we take care of all types of rescue systems.

Airing: Your reserve parachute is aired for at least 48 hours to eliminate electrostatic charges in the fabric, which can cause the material to stick together.

Systematic Inspection: After airing, your reserve undergoes a thorough visual inspection. This systematic process includes checking the connection to the harness, the connection strap, the suspension lines, and the canopy material.

Packing: Packing a reserve parachute is a precise craft. In our atelier, it is carried out using a standardized procedure designed to ensure maximum reliability. All specific manufacturer instructions are, of course, followed carefully.

After completing the reserve packing, we issue an inspection report for the reserve check.

If you have questions about the reserve packing service, recommended packing intervals, or the condition of your reserve — no problem. All inspections are performed in our atelier, and we are happy to help. Contact us.
